Establishing an accurate budget is the single most important prerequisite for a construction project to be considered successful by all parties involved .  Whether your project needs a Class 5 conceptual level cost estimate, a detailed contractor level cost estimate or anything in between, TBG provides the resources and expertise to assist owners, architecture/engineering firms, and contractors with developing accurate budgets.  TBG's estimating software expertise includes Micro Computer-Aided Cost Estimating Software (MCACES or MII), HCSS Heavybid, CostWorks, and various other estimating and quantity takeoff programs.

Having a properly prepared schedule is the foundation of a successful project. You need a detailed schedule with proper sequencing, durations, and resource allocation to ensure your project is managed well from award through final completion. TBG consultants' experience preparing and managing detailed construction schedules as contractors on complex infrastructure projects provides the expertise needed for assisting owners and owner reps with evaluating contractor baseline schedules and schedule updates to ensure projects are properly scheduled, adequate resources are provided to complete the project on time, and potential delay claims are mitigated.

All TBG consultants have hands-on experience working as contractors; therefore, we are able to offer a level of construction expertise that other engineering and consulting firms cannot. Once construction breaks ground and design errors are identified then the costs of those errors are exponentially higher than if they were caught during design. Most constructability reviews simply involve an engineer scanning plans to identify notation and call-out errors or perhaps details that need added, but at TBG we take constructability serious.  During project development and design we analyze the project from the perspective of a contractor and work through the construction step-by-step.  

 Schedule delays and disruptions are an unfortunate event that most projects experience at some point during construction.  Many times projects are able to recover, but sometimes, especially on large and complex projects, delays cannot be mitigated. TBG specializes in analyzing project schedules, identifying liability, and assessing damages associated with delays.

 Claims happen.  However, your preparation and response to claims will determine how successful the resolution of claims will be on your project.  At TBG we help with assessing and/or validating entitlement, quantifying damages, and moving all parties towards resolution.  Often times the resolution of construction claims become research projects and rely on incomplete documentation and vague memories; therefore, we encourage our clients to engage our services immediately when a claim or potential claim arises so that we can prepare you to be successful in your claim resolution.
